Project: Patient Essentials

In May 2023 we began working on our Patient Essentials Project. As Jade's Bags Charity is always looking to see where we can help, we have come across a need for help in our local hospital. There is a need for essential items for patients on the Wards, which were previously being bought by staff using their own money.

21st May

We have now stepped in and we are running a project called "Essentials for patients". We delivered our first box today to Ward 21 at Royal Preston Hospital and we will be boxing up more to deliver to the other wards in the hospital shortly. As the stock diminishes, the nurses will email us and we will go and replenish the stock.

29th May

We’ve been busy this bank holiday at the Royal Preston Hospital as part of our on going project “Essentials for Patients”!

Today we met the most lovely nurses/staff who were so grateful for the boxes. This project is very fulfilling to us as we see how needed these essentials are and this is what Jades Bag is all about, helping those in need!

Boxes were delivered to the following wards:

Acute Assessment Unit

Ward 23

Medical Assessment Unit

Ribblesdale Ward

Ward 2C

We hope to be going back next week to deliver to the other wards look out for our updates!

28th June

We have been to Royal Preston Hospital again today to donate essential items boxes for the patients and we have completed another 6 wards. We met a lovely bunch of nurses, who were so grateful for receiving a Box from us.
